Awesome people + Great Cake = Excellent day
I’m 24. Looking at that number just irks me…Nonetheless, I do think that 24 is a significant age. To think that only 10 years ago, I was just a tween, a niner, a kid who just entered high school, and since then, I feel like I’ve accomplished and have grown a lot.
Within a decade, I was able to graduate from elementary, high school and university. Dwelling on that alone completely blows my mind. And that’s just the school side of things.
Life is a funny, funny thing.
But let’s focus on today. Today was a great day. Cause today I:
Got up (yay! Thank God for another year), had a smoothie, left for work, turned on my radio, Champagne Super Nova was playing, came to work late (9:09), got a muffin and green tea from the boss, at 10:30 am, people raided me with a birthday cake and a Justin Bieber card, stayed after work for a bit to work on more things, eventually left work, came home, went to The Keg, had a giant steak, had a complimentary birthday cake, opened gifts, read my birthday card, almost cried, checked messages, responded to messages (thanks to the kind souls that showered me with their greetings), now blogging.
Simple things, we shouldn’t take them for granted. They make everything pleasant.
Anyway, 24 is off to a good start. I like you so far 24. Let’s keep it up for another 364 days.
